Retrofit Post Application
Coating Procedure
General Selection of coating systems and application procedures shall be made with due consideration to conditions during fabrication, installation and service of the installation.
All activities shall be fully incorporated in the fabrication plan. Details of man- agement, inspectors, operators, facilities, equipment and qualified procedures shall be established and documented before commencing work.
The most important factor after surface preparation and paint quality that contributes significantly to the life of a coating system is proper application. Coatings today are more specialized in their use and in general, require spe- cific application methods to be followed to maximize results.

Manufacture Integration
Thin film technologies are pervasive in the industry nowadays. Thin film coatings are found in solar cells, bio-materials, consumer products (such as glasses, helmets), semi-conductor or smart windows. The functions of thin films coatings are numerous and can be classified in several categories: optical properties (filtering, mirrors), mechanical properties (such as scratch-resistance), electrical properties (such as dielectrics and membranes) and chemical properties (such as catalysors for anti-pollution for instance).
There are several technologies to deposit thin films; the more traditional approach is PVD/CVD (vapor deposition) and the use of a plasma beam. Such technologies are only suitable for specific substrates and require high temperatures, which can limit the scopes of applications of thin films.
Sol Gel coatings can be deposited at low temperatures, which enables the coating of substrates such as polymers. Furthermore, low temperature coating has less impact on the final properties of the surface and thus enables obtaining specific functional properties that cannot be obtained by other methods.
Green Millennium’s Nano-TiO2 Photocatalyst can integrated with various products using different types of integration methods. Some of the common integration methods and the products are:
Heat treatment:
- Anti-soiling and sterilizing Tiles
- Air-Purifying bricks and pavements
- Self-cleaning Porcelain
- Self-cleaning and anti-fogging Glass and mirrors
Dipping Treatment:
- Deodorizing and sterilizing Textile (bed sheets, cloth, mop)
- Deodorizing and self-cleaning wallpaper
- Deodorizing and self-cleaning curtains and blinds
